May. 14, 2012 5 notes The Time Mag CrapI promised myself I wouldn’t get involved but it’s so ridiculous I can’t help myself. Seriously. Seriously?? The cover shows a ‘sexy’ mom with a ‘large for his age’ child not even nursing in a normal way. It makes woman question whether they are ‘mom enough’ when NO mom should ever question that, regardless of choice. They make attachment parenting seem like some freaky cult that we follow Dr Sears (I have never read his book and don’t intend to). It is sickening. But whats worse is peoples response. People look at the cover and say things like “When they have teeth they need to be weaned”… “these moms are doing it for their own sexual fantasys” and bs like that. That is even worse than the article in my opinion. I wonder if people realize that they are judging on something they are uneducated about. I wonder if they realize that their offenseive comments hurt some moms. I wonder if they realize that babies have MILK TEETH and often get them at 3 months of age. TRUTH: The World average for self led weaning is 2-7 years old. TRUTH: Breastfeeding is not only healthy for mom and baby physically, but it is also very healthy for baby mentally. TRUTH: Everyone has their own way pf parenting and everyone has that right. Whether they formula feed or breastfeed, bf for 1 month or for 7 years, they are ALWAYS ‘mom enough’. TRUTH: Unless you are a murderer, pedophile, rapist, etc… I respect your decisions, please respect mine. This whole situation makes me sick.

May. 09, 2012 Lily is cuddly today, I am taking advantage.Usually Lily is a very independent child. No matter what I do, she wants to be on her own. Today she keeps crawling up into my lap (by crawling I mean throwing herself at me) and laying against my chest. She has just been so darn cute. She has had diaper free time all day with no accidents. Not to mention she is going down for naps like a champ. With a kiss on the forehead and a cuddle from her little blue doggie she is out!! She has been so mobile lately. If you set her down and walk away you’ll either find her under our bed or trying to escape into the bathroom. She is scooting and has her own little version of crawling. Kind of a knee step, knee step, lunge!!!! Over and over again. I think she is enjoying her independence but it is nice to snuggle.
